Masterparts supplies a range of aftermarket parts and spares for most SsangYong models in South Africa. Among these are the Actyon, Korando, Kyron, Musso and Rexton. Masterparts stocks a minimum of 45,000 parts at any given time so we’ll more than likely have whichever SsangYong parts or spares you’re looking for. In the unlikely event that we don’t, we’ll do our best to source them for you.
Are parts from Masterparts cheaper than those from SsangYong dealers?
In general, parts and spares stocked by Masterparts are cheaper than those you’d get from a SsangYong dealer. This doesn’t mean our parts are inferior or generic; they come directly from the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) or suppliers in South Africa and around the world. Usually, we get our parts from the same place as the dealers; we just sell them at a lower price.
Types of SsangYong parts we provide
Masterparts stocks most SsangYong parts and spares, however, we don’t supply any body panels, mirrors or lights for any brand of vehicle, including SsangYong. For everything else, such as filters for fuel, air, engine or oil filters; brake disks, pads or rotors; water pumps; spark plugs and timing belt kits, Masterparts is the place to go.

SsangYong Motor Company is the fourth largest automobile manufacturer in South Korea. It started as two separate companies; Ha Dong-hwan Motor Workshop and Dongbang Motor Co. In 1963, the two companies merged to become Ha Dong-hwan Motor Co. and started building jeeps for the US army as well as buses.
In 1984, the company, which had since changed its name to Dong-A Motors, was taken over by SsangYong Business group. The name changed to SsangYong Motor Company in 1988.
Mahindra & Mahindra Limited acquired a 70% share of the company in February 2011, making them the owners of SsangYong. In South Africa, SsangYong is distributed by Mahindra SA.
SsangYong’s latest model, the Tivoli, is the first model released under Mahindra & Mahindra ownership.
