Description

For more than 90 years, Victor Reinz has specialised in providing high-quality, innovative gaskets to the automotive industry. Today it also offers a range of other original equipment components and replacement parts, and industrial sealing products.
Victor Reinz was founded in 1920, in Berlin, Germany. Despite the global economic depression, there was soon significant demand for the company’s flat asbestos gaskets, for airplane and automobile motors – and in 1922, Hugo Reinz opened a factory in Berlin-Spandau.
The asbestos gaskets were followed by innovative fabric gaskets, known for their highly effective sealing. By the mid-1930s, almost all European auto manufacturers were using the company’s gaskets. It began mass producing and by 1948, was the exclusive vendor for Volkswagen and Mercedes Benz.
Since then, Reinz has continued to dominate the market for innovative gasket technology. In the early 1980s, it succeeded in producing an asbestos-free material for sealing cylinder heads and automobile exhaust systems.
In 1993, the company was acquired by the American DANA Corporation, which is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of automotive components.
At Masterparts, we’re proud to stock a range of Victor Reinz gaskets, gasket sets, cylinder head bolts and oil seals.
