What is a con-rod bolt?
A pair of con-rod bolts secure the big end of a connecting rod, or con-rod, to the crank pin.
The bolts must be extremely strong. Like the con-rod itself (which converts motion from the piston into the rotation of the crankshaft), they are subject to high, repetitive force.
