SIDEM is one of the oldest brands in the market for chassis parts. It was first established in Brussels in 1933, as the Société Industrielle de Décolletage et Mécanique.
From the 1980s onwards, the company grew rapidly under the direction of Walter Verfaillie, relocating to the port of Roeselare in Belgium and opening new production plants in both Hungary and Romania.
In 2011, the SIDEM headquarters were moved to a new, fully automated distribution center in Gullegem – and in 2014, the company added its own, in-house forging facilities.
Today SIDEM produces steering and suspension parts for cars, vans, trucks and buses, for the independent after-market industry and for the original equipment manufacturer and supplier markets. Its parts are shipped from its distribution centre to over 90 countries around the globe.
SIDEM parts have achieved ISO certification, as well as certification under the standard TS 16949-2009, a quality benchmark in the automotive industry.
